You can download Form 16 from the TRACES portal and sign it using a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC). Please follow the detailed steps below:
1.Login to the TRACES Portal
Visit the TRACES website (https://www.tdscpc.gov.in) and log in using your deductor credentials (User ID, Password, and TAN).
- Navigate to Form 16
After logging in, go to the “Downloads” tab and select “Form 16” from the dropdown menu. - Select Financial Year and Quarter
Choose the relevant Financial Year and Quarter for which you want to download Form 16. - Submit Request
Enter the required details and submit the request. Once submitted, a request number will be generated. - Track Download Request
Go to the “Downloads” section and click on “Requested Downloads” to check the status. Once the status shows as “Available,” you can download the Form 16 files. - Download and Extract Files
Download the Form 16 zip file and extract it using the TRACES PDF Generation Utility along with the provided password. - Generate Form 16 PDF
Use the PDF Generation Utility to convert the files into readable Form 16 PDFs. - Sign Using DSC
After generating the PDF, affix the Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) using a DSC utility or PDF signing tool to authenticate the document. - Issue to Employees
Once signed, share the Form 16 with respective employees via email or any secure platform.
